Managing Director | CEO
During his time as a Principal & Recruiting Director at the Boston Consulting Group – where he advised multinational pharmaceutical and medical technologies clients on a range of strategic topics – Alexander became acutely aware of the urgent need to develop antibiotics alternatives. Fascinated by the role that phage therapy can play as an antibiotics alternative, Alexander formed a small team centered around Prof. Wippermann in early 2016 to review options for how to accelerate the re-introduction of phage therapy in Western medicine. In March 2017 Alexander left BCG to co-found PhagoMed.
Alexander holds an M.A. from St. Andrews University in Modern History and Economics as well as an MBA from INSEAD.
